A very good pencil sharpener -- preferably metal core (not just blade.)  Anything with plastic securing the blade will shift relatively soon making it impossible to get the absolute sharpness required. Mine is an electric battery powered portable Panasonic®.

Erasers:

Kneaded &/or “block” -- find your favorite one.  The only true rules are that it does it’s job and does not smear
